Lives Remembered

           In the year of COVID-19)

You were magnetic, people, all kinds, were attracted to you..

You made life easier to understand.

Your interests, your joys  and smiles were infectious.

They, in their turn passed it on.

You had been the greatest  –grandpa, father, son,  brother, cousin, nephew, friend, co-worker, husband and lover –human being we shall never know again.

In anyone else, we might have wished them to share your fate.

But too many others had in fact suffered as you did.

Corona stole that from us before taking you from us all.

You shed this infected body. We shed tears from our hearts.

In hopes we do not share your crown.
