Childhood Blues

Must not have been news.

When a child is abused.

Belittle him, violate her.

Violate him, belittle her.

Must not have been news.

The boy becomes a man.

Of him, a woman knows how to make good use.

The girl becomes a woman.

Her world makes no sense, its all too loose.

All because of their parental sins.

In the shadows no one wins.

In an age when none of this is news.

There's so much childhood blues.

No one gives it too much time.

Where's his emotionally free childhood?

Where's her clear mind for learning and adventure?

No one thinks much about crossing the line.

Must not have been news.

To feed children the blues.
