Oh Boy, in the Salt City

On all the days to come.
You came.
When the rain
Poured it's hardest
In this ole Salt City.

You were right in front of me.
Still you hadn't covered me.
So close you didn't see my pain
Through the Salt City rain.

The curtain rose.
The temperature dropped.
You and the boys stayed dry.
The rest of us sat as beneath a summer hose.

Oh Boy, why couldn't you,
Why couldn't you have come
To the ole Salt City.
On another day to sing to me,
Felidae!
