Becoming Smaller

I’ve been for years at war.
With no one except myself.
I still can’t open my heart’s door.
It feels I’ve been thrown upon a shelf.
Every year a little bit more, I’m dying.
Instead of fighting, I find myself crying.

If I can only steer my Self to Him
I have a better chance to win!
I’ll be stronger with His strength.
Making this journey’s length,
Seem far more shorter than it is.

Chorus:
Never bathe in your own glory.
Don’t believe your ego’s story.
Standing afar off becoming smaller;
The Lord increases, becoming taller.
Singing the strongest song, Head-long;
Singing with the depth of your Being.
“God, be merciful to me a sinner!”
In the Kingdom, you will become a winner!

His Light will abolish,
The shadows in my soul.
Running towards the goal.
Fighting the good fight.
Only in my weakness, I can channel His might.

It matters not the suffering I endure.
For the Lord deliveres me from this tour.
All who desire to live much higher,
In Christ I will suffer not the persecution,
Set upon me by the father of liars.

Chorus:
Never bathe in your own glory.
Don’t believe your ego’s story.
Standing afar off becoming smaller;
The Lord increases, becoming taller.
Singing the strongest song, Head-long;
Singing with the depth of your Being.
God, be merciful to me a sinner!”
In the Kingdom, you will become a winner!

Evil men and impostors grow worse,
Deceiving and being deceived themselves, of course.
Giving them a wide berth.
I must continue in the things which I have earned; Being assured,
In knowing from whom I have learned.
Not of Paul, not of John, nor James.
Only from the only One Divine Son.
It’s no game.

Chorus:
Never bathe in your own glory.
Don’t believe your ego’s story.
Standing afar off becoming smaller;
The Lord increases, becoming taller.
Singing the strongest song, Head-long;
Singing with the depth of your Being.
“God, be merciful to me a sinner!”
In the Kingdom, you will become a winner!

His Love for Her

Don't leave me here!  Don't you leave me here this way!  What will all my friends say? Who was it that carried me on the bier? Well, will you pray for me? Or can't you wait to see another man, if only you can?  Life with you was never,  the kind I wanted.  You called me "friend" That was after you put an end to our coupling. That was after you had my ring  cut off your finger. I can hear you singing after that. You had your own definition for being a swinger. A woman, free and unattached. Since then we've never been intimate. No matter the many times I had to wait. You would love me  Only by cleaning and laundrying for me. Still you'd never give me a bath. We had a life together you never let last. Don't leave me here!  Don't you leave me here this way!  What will all my friends say?     "She buried him, with his love for her.      She's not so demur."  _________ copyright ©️ 2023 SDKilmer, LLC All Rights Reserved www SDKi

Born to be Nothing much to see, apparently. Nobody said it would be like thees. All my own history. All blood relatives. I'm a severed twig of my family trees. They said the tree caught fire. From which they saved me. What bald liars! They took me on. An adoptee chameleon. Gill or Jillian? No one could tell. All adoptees seem to be a chameleon. How I love your body. Oh how I love your manners. Does it really matter That I want to be like you? Got nothing else to inform me. So let's see, who I am.
